I needed a light for going to a from from friends houses at 2am, and a little research brought me to this little guy. I love it! It lights up signs and the road very nicely, the button is easy to use even with crazy thick gloves and the mounting systems is very easy to use. I have mine set up on the loose side so I can adjust it while riding, and so if I spill it's less likely to break.
The only downside, IMO, is that this puppy is pretty much street only. It provides pretty good light up to about 30' of road at the most and lights up signs from almost 100 yards, but you don't get a lot of detail. The only way I'd ever take this with me riding single track would be if I had a much more powerful helmet mounted light, and even though I'll do 3o+ mph on the street with this as the only light source, I wouldn't recommend doing the same to those who have a greater respect for their own mortality: a nasty pothole could slip by easily at high speed. Good fun though.
For the price, illumination and ease of use, this baby rocks.Get more detail about Cateye HL-EL220 LED Bicycle Headlight.
