I would suggest putting a better edge on it by the factory, but otherwise a great knife. Usually a large survival type knife weighs a ton, but this is very reasonable in weight. not sure what the bayonet hole on the hand guard is for, but not a problem. Good solid feel, would be good for batoning or hacking through brush. The edge was not too good out of the box, but just sharpen it and its fine. I like the rubber grip. I was putting together an emergency kit and this will replace a much more expensive knife I had bought but weighed too much.
I think a knife should be for cutting and slicing and doesn't need to weigh a ton for that. If you want to chop down a full grown tree, an axe or a saw is better. Can't beat it for the price. Get more detail about 15 Inch Jungle Master Hunting Knife.
