I bought this for my son as a gift as I was familiar with this product --- I have one. These watches are great if you listen to an iPod, particularly if you use it working around the house or other people. You can put you iPod in a pocket but still control the volume and pause/play with the buttons on the watch. It comes in very handy if you want to pause your iPod because of some temporary outside noise (I don't think my wife would consider that a compliment!).
The only, significant problem I'm aware of with this watch is that the band can break after a year or so, I know, it happened to me. I went to Timex's website, contacted their customer service, they emailed me instructions, I sent them the watch and $10 and about 10 days later I got a NEW watch in the mail. They exceeded my expectation with the repair. If you look carefully at the watch you can see why a broken watch band is an issue --- it is integrated into the watch.
